If you’re a couple searching for a pre-wedding photoshoot in Singapore — or looking for a concept designer to style your prewedding shoot with an editorial edge — this PWS project we styled at Jiak Kim House might inspire you.
At The Genuine Vows, we’re always looking for ways to stretch our creative muscles and explore the edges of wedding styling. For this project (a prewedding photoshoot in Singapore), we wanted to create something unapologetically chic, slightly sexy, and editorial — with rich textures, moody lighting, and a confident vibe we like to call Lustre Noir.

The idea? To bring together a real couple and an incredible team of artisans to transform an unconventional space into a statement-worthy wedding scene. Jiak Kim House, with its dramatic architecture and rich character, became the perfect blank canvas for us to play with light, shadow, and luxurious details.

Why we love unconventional spaces for prewedding photoshoots
Fresh creative possibilities — Unique layouts challenge us to think differently about angles, flow, and styling.
Distinctive storytelling — The backdrop becomes a character in the shoot, adding depth and personality to every frame.
Exclusive atmosphere — Spaces not traditionally used for weddings often give a “private, one-of-a-kind” feel.
When we scout and share these venues, couples get access to inspiring locations they may not have considered.

The couple that brought the heat
Our couple brought incredible energy and chemistry to the day. From the moment they stepped in, they were fully immersed — which gave every frame that genuine, unposed magic we love.

The artistry behind the concept scenes
This wasn’t just a normal concept prewedding photoshoot; it was a collective work of art. Every vendor poured their craft into the details:
Styling & Planning: We curated every element — from colour palette to table textures — ensuring the concept tied seamlessly together.
Custom Props & Materials: Many of the decor pieces were made exclusively for this shoot, lending it a rare, tailored feel.
Floral Artistry: The bouquet, table arrangements, and floral details tied in our white, burgundy, and pink palette with a modern yet romantic twist.

The colour story
White, burgundy, and blush pink flowed throughout the shoot:
Bouquet — romantic yet bold.
Table styling — layered textures with pops of colour.
Wedding cake — a statement piece tying all hues together.
Fashion moments we loved
Bridal gowns: From Glisten Couture’s new collection, the mermaid silhouettes highlighted Tricia’s stunning figure, adding both elegance and allure.
Groom’s suits: Seamless Bespoke outfitted Immanuel in two looks — a timeless black tuxedo and a modern tan three-piece featuring a double-breasted waistcoat, bringing fresh sophistication to menswear styling.

The Heart of the Concept Prewedding Photoshoot in Singapore (Behind the Scenes )
As polished as the final photos look, the magic truly happened behind the scenes. This concept prewedding photoshoot was held together by a huge team, each bringing their craft and dedication to the table. From setting up the tablescape to adjusting lighting angles and making sure the looks were on point, every detail required hands-on teamwork and quick coordination.
Here are some sneak peeks — but what you’ll see is the energy, laughter, and hustle that made the day so special.

The biggest win? Immanuel and Tricia were able to just go with the flow and enjoy themselves. Our role was to make the process seamless and fun, so the couple could focus on being present — and the team’s hard work made that possible.
